The summer is here in Canada and this means that there are lots of events going on. This is also the season for kiteboarding and there are some awesome kiteboarding events coming up.
From 6-8 July there is the kiteboarding event of KiteClash. KiteClash is Canada’s largest kiteboarding competition and more than 70 riders will compete in freestyle, big air and more. The kiteboarding event will be held at the Spit in Squamish. There will be a free shuttle bus running to the event from the Backcountry Brewery in Squamish. The winners will be crowned in each event and there will be food & drinks available on event site.
Another one of Canada’s kiteboarding events is Windfest in Nitinat Lake, Vancouver Island. This event is full with competitions, the Canadian Twintip Racing Championships, music and more. It is a bit of a drive and camping can fill up quickly over this weekend.
Kiteboarding events are being held all over the world and it is definitely worth it to check them out! Meet new people, watch awesome riders and enjoy the day! There are also lots of demo days of different brands throughout seasons. This is a perfect opportunity to try different kites and find your perfect gear!
