Yesterday’s outflow diminished around 10am and the wind picked up nicely around 11:30am. The wind blew westerly through the day causing gusty conditions at the Spit. The average wind was around 17 knots.
The wind blew through the night around 15 knots and is expected to pick up throughout the day. The Howe Sound Marine forecast is calling for strong winds around 25-30 knots.
Low tide is at 10:10am, there will be a river sandbar as well as a sandbar in front of the spit diminishing in the afternoon.
